Job Prospector makes job searching easier. It is a computer program which handles the large amounts of information that can be created whilst looking for a job or change of career.
 
Job searching today involves dealing with multiple sources of information from a variety of Job Sites on the internet, Agencies, Newspaper advertisements as well as speculative enquiries to Employers. Even with this short list it is easy to see that there is a risk of information overload! There are some outdated paper based job search systems which are prone to the usual restrictions, such as duplication of information, time consuming cross referencing, and plenty of printing and paper!
Job prospector can be downloaded on to a home computer and used to keep track of a multitude of information relating to:
  • Personal details.
  • Recording  job vacancies and potential employers.
  • Employment agencies / Contact details.
  • The production, sending and recording of job applications.
  • Speculative letters, email or telephone calls.
  • The recording and referencing of applications, interviews and related  correspondence.

Job Prospector is based around a number of tables and functions that allow you to collect and manage information relating to finding new employment.  Functions are included that allow the cross-referencing of job applications and job interviews against relevant employers and employment agencies. You are also able to keep track of your activities, application deadlines and interview arrangements.
